If Arizona Public Service is your electric utility company, you are going to want to read this article. It details what you, as an APS customer, need to do as a result of the approved rate hike. If you haven’t selected a new plan since the new rates went into effect, you were placed on a “Transition” plan. You have until May 1, 2018 to select a new plan or APS will select one for you. This article points out that the transition plans tend to be cheaper than the new rates, so don’t jump so quickly to update your plan. Just remember to select a plan before May 1. Solar is also a viable option, although APS no longer allows new solar owners to bank their excess kWh.
Good luck finding a cheap rate and remember candles worked for the pioneers.
